This app supports printing for both stock cards as well as plain paper. If you are printing to a plain paper, you will need to manually fold the paper into the desired card type. Each section of the card design is automatically rotated so they fit into the selected fold type.

For stock cards, the paper is pre-folded. When feeding the card into the printer, please “open” the card so it feeds into the printer as one sheet. Some stock card also come with instructions for print alignment which will help as well.

Please note when printing a double sided card design, you will have to feed in the paper to the printer twice: first time for printing the inside tabs, then flip the card paper to print the outside tabs. (You can also use the print both sides at once option for printers that support duplex-printing)

Please use different tab designs for each “fold" of your card.

For example, if you are working with a "half fold design", you will see four tabs, one for each side of the card:

Front - front of the card when the card is folded
Back - back of the card when the card is folded
Inside 1 - first half when the card is opened
Inside 2 - second half when the card is opened

The print layouts are different depending on your selected fold card style.

"Up-side-down" images in print preview

When working with a fold-style card, some tabs are auto rotated and print "up-side-down", this is normal and will align properly after folding.

Print directions:
This style of card requires printing content to "both" sides of the paper.
If you are working with a printer that prints only one side at a time (not duplex):
1. Print the inside of the card
2. Flip the paper and re-feed into your printer
3. Print the back of the card

If you are working with a printer that supports duplex printing (automated double sided printing):
1. Print and choose "Print both sides at once"
2. Enable the "print double sided" option in your printer settings

Please note some tab print-outs are rotated to accommodate folding:
Tabs inside 1 and Inside 2 print "right-side-up",
Tab Front prints "right-side-up"
Tab Back prints "up-side-down", this is normal, the Back tab is auto-rotated so it aligns properly after folding

Fold directions:
1. Wait until printed ink is dry, lay the sheet "vertically" in front of you
2. Fold the sheet down the middle from top to bottom (this card requires only a single fold)

This style of card requires printing content to only one side of the paper.

1. Wait until printed ink is dry, lay the sheet "vertically" in front of you
2. Fold the sheet down the middle from top to bottom
3. Fold again down the middle from left to right

If your greeting card design uses a solid color background or a full width background image, printing with the borderless option will apply ink to the entire paper (without margins).

This app sets the paper margins to 0 by default, this means designs that are meant to fill the entire background should automatically print all the way to the edge of the paper. You may wish to check the following settings to make sure your printer is set to print in borderless mode.
These settings may vary for different printers:
Print > Print Dialog:

Under "Paper Size", select the appropriate paper size for your card. Choose the "Borderless" option if one is available. Common options include "Letter (Borderless)" or "A4 (Borderless)".
Under "Paper Handling", check "Scale to fit paper size"
If you're defining a custom paper size, set "non-printable area" to 0 for all borders

It's important to note not all printers support borderless printing. When a printer does not support borderless printing, the printer is not physically able to apply the ink to the entire sheet of paper (edge to edge). Even when printing with borderless options, you would still see a thin white border around the edge of the paper.

Each tab shows a placeholder label when it's empty. The placeholder label contains a description for the card type and tab orientation. This label is automatically removed once an object is added to the tab canvas. If you wish to print a blank tab, please drag and drop a text box to the tab and remove the text inside the text box.
